Since our foundation, we have been convinced that climate protection must be understandable, transparent and locally anchored. That's why we started with tree planting projects in Germany, accompanied by our own climate forester Jan Borchert.
Local climate protection is part of our DNA
Even though we now support companies holistically in their ESG management, this origin remains part of our self-image. The local focus still shapes our actions today - even here in Cologne. For example, we have already been able to plant areas in Cologne's Königsforst forest together with our customers and thus actively contribute to climate protection in the Cologne region.
Why we are part of the Cologne Climate Declaration
The Cologne Climate Declaration brings together companies, institutions and science - with a clear goal: to make Cologne climate-neutral by 2035. For us as a Cologne-based company, one thing is clear: we want to play an active role in shaping this path - not only through our solutions, but also through our own actions.

Sustainability in day-to-day business
Climate protection doesn't just start with strategic decisions - it starts with everyday actions. That is why we have defined the following measures, among others, to make our day-to-day work more sustainable and continuously reduce our ecological footprint:
Sustainable travel guidelines: Train first. Domestic flights are always avoided, and when traveling abroad, the use of other transport options is also given priority. Digital meetings and electric vehicles are preferred and public transport is subsidized for our employees.
Refurbished instead of new: we are increasingly buying refurbished hardware - and thus avoiding more than 1.3 tons of CO₂e per year. We are also increasingly turning to second-hand alternatives for our office furniture.

Climate protection begins within our own company and has an impact far beyond the company's boundaries. With the Cologne Climate Declaration, we are committed not only to supporting other companies in their ESG transformation, but also to consistently leading the way ourselves.
