Why the forest is important

At Planted, we firmly believe in harnessing the power of the forest against the advancing climate crisis. After all, trees are our allies in the fight against climate change: they store CO₂, release oxygen, store and filter drinking water, our air, and provide a habitat for many animals and other species.

But our German forests are in bad shape, and the consequences of climate change have taken their toll. For this reason, we are planting climate-stable trees regionally and protecting existing forests. This is how we can combat climate change and preserve the planet for future generations.

Our plantings at a glance

Forest Palatinate

Forest Palatinate

49°29'13.9 "N 8°04'56.2 "E

Planted promotes the future

52°10'56.1 "N 14°18'42.7 "E

Together with Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences, we are conducting research on this former farmland near Berlin to find out which tree species can withstand extreme weather conditions.

Forest Cologne

Forest Cologne

50°56'35.5 "N 7°11'15.1 "E

The Königsforst near Cologne is well-known in the city and a popular destination for excursions. Due to climate change, however, many areas have died off, which we are replanting together with forest and wood in a climate-friendly way.

Forest Frankfurt (Taunus)

Forest Frankfurt (Taunus)

50°18'13.7 "N 8°29'11.1 "E

After World War II, the Taunus near Frankfurt was mainly planted with monocultures that were heavily infested with bark beetles. With climate-stable tree species, we are giving impulses for the future here.

Forest Mülheim

Forest Mülheim

51°22'27.2 "N 6°50'04.9 "E

Forest Bielefeld

51°58'13.0 "N 8°34'39.0 "E
