We are looking for a Head of Engineering (alternatively: Tech Lead, Engineering Manager*in, Senior Developer*in, Vice President Software Engineering)Who understands how to build an excellent development team. You are able to combine technical supervision and management of projects with the role of a functional manager. You are a good communicator and partner who enjoys working closely with our Product Managers and Business Heads, getting into the code yourself, and leading the team.

Tasks 🎇

• You take responsibility for the technical product and solution architecture with a focus on further development, quality control and code optimization
• You derive a technical strategy from our corporate vision and adapt it interactively to meet market needs
• You introduce KPIs for your area and continuously optimize them
• You work closely with our product managers, founders and other stakeholders
• Communication with the customer and sales support
• You will be independently responsible for building and developing the engineering team through recruiting, individual performance reviews and development meetings
  

Requirements 👤

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics or related field.
• Experience building and leading a significant software development team in a scaling organization
• Strong software architecture skills
• Hands-on experience with React, NodeJS, MySQL, and Heroku (or cloud-based infrastructure).
• Bonus: You have experience with TypeScript
• Experience building and scaling high-performing development teams
• Holistic thinking - correct diagnosis of problems and development of innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with product owners and business managers
